It was a good run, but KIPP King unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Berean Christian Eagles an easy 63-38 win. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 89-74 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

KIPP King's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Berean Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

KIPP King will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arroyo at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. After both having extra time off, Berean Christian and California School for the Deaf will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
