Soccer Game Preview: Cumberland vs. St. Croix Falls

The Cumberland Beavers are taking a road trip to face off against the St. Croix Falls Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cumberland's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, neither Cumberland nor Barron could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, St. Croix Falls fell victim to Baldwin-Woodville and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 1-0.

With that draw, Cumberland's record moves to 4-5-3. As for St. Croix Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Cumberland was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Croix Falls when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Beavers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
