Softball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Oswego East

Oswego East entered their tilt with Neuqua Valley on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 16-11. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by exactly five runs.

Danielle Stone was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with four runs and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Owles, who went 3-for-5 with four runs and two stolen bases.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Oswego East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Oswego East pushed their record up to 16-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Neuqua Valley, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Coming up, Oswego East will look to defend their home field on Monday against Minooka at 4:30 p.m. As for Neuqua Valley, they are taking a road trip to challenge Naperville Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
