Homestead extended their winning streak to eight on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 14-3 in the process. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Grace Jordan was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Adams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As for Fort Wayne Snider, they moved to 6-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Fort Wayne Snider's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Ryan, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homestead will host Mississinewa at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.4, the Indians 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they will be playing at home against Fort Wayne Northrop at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
