West Covina comes up short despite Steven Julio's strong performance

The West Covina Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Diamond Ranch by a score of 58-56. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Covina in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the loss, West Covina still got an impressive performance from Steven Julio, who scored 18 points. Julio continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Tony Daher was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

West Covina has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Diamond Ranch, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-7.
