Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laurel HomeSchool). They took down the Meridian HomeSchool FLYERS 84-67 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knight Hawks as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Laurel HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Hollingsworth led the charge by going 13 of 27 on his way to 33 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Hollingsworth a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards.

Laurel HomeSchool smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Laurel HomeSchool's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Meridian HomeSchool, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hattiesburg HomeSchool the next time they take the court. Meridian HomeSchool will host Hattiesburg HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Laurel HomeSchool will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
