Football Game Preview: Rosamond Roadrunners vs. Brentwood School Eagles + How To Watch

The Rosamond Roadrunners will head out to square off against the Brentwood School Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rosamond has given up an average of 34 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rosamond's last matchup with Foothill could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Roadrunners came up short against the Trojans, falling 54-30. The Roadrunners' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Rosamond's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Marvin Alvarado, who threw for 217 yards and a pair of TDs, and Isreal Valero, who gained 118 total yards.

Meanwhile, Brentwood School humbled Grace with a 40-7 victory. The matchup marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Brentwood School's win came from a few key players Rosamond will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ben Mikail, who threw for 356 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per attempt. What's more, he racked up 129 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brendan Bowman, who rushed for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.

One reason for the win was Brentwood School's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Reed Langan, Jack Goldberg, and Keller Agam, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Rosamond's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Brentwood School, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Rosamond might still be hurting after the 37-12 loss they got from Brentwood School in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Roadrunners, Addison Patrick Stirling (who rushed for 137 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
