Soccer Recap: Belleview Comes Up Short

Belleview and Lecanto squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Belleview had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Lecanto Panthers by a score of 5-4. Even if the Rattlers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Belleview has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13-1 record this season. As for Lecanto, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Belleview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lecanto, they will face off against Leesburg at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leesburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.
