Baseball Recap: Woodford County Has No Trouble Against Anderson County

Woodford County got themselves on the board against Anderson County on Wednesday, but Anderson County never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bearcats. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Jonah Branham made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Justus Wertzler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Jb Martin also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
