Basketball Recap: Burnet Takes a Loss

Burnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Lampasas Badgers 77-48. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 575th, while the Badgers are ranked 278th).

Burnet's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Lampasas, they pushed their record up to 26-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Burnet will challenge rival Marble Falls at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lampasas is set to square off against their familiar foe Gateway College Preparatory at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
