Baseball Recap: Gloucester City Takes a Loss

Gloucester City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Haddon Township Hawks. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Hawks when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gloucester City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Haddon Township, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Gloucester City will take on Gateway Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Haddon Township, they will face off against Sterling at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
