Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Mustangs vs. Saint Mary's Hall Barons
Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Saint Mary's Hall Barons, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Barons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on August 12th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-16.
Saint Mary's Hall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abigail Murray, who had four digs and three aces. Murray is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Breanna Benavides, who had 13 digs and two aces.
Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Saint Mary's Hall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.
