Basketball Recap: Frisco Takes a Loss

Frisco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 70-55 to the Heritage Coyotes. While losing is never fun, the Raccoons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 737th, while the Coyotes are ranked 24th).

Leading Heritage to victory were Cameron Lomax and Bryson Howard. Lomax went 8 of 14 on his way to 26 points along with seven assists and five rebounds, while Howard dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The game was Lomax's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikhail Patel, who posted 13 points.

Frisco's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Heritage, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

Frisco will head out to square off against Independence at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lebanon Trail at 7:15 p.m. Heritage knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matches -- so hopefully Lebanon Trail likes a good challenge.
