Basketball Recap: Sulphur Comes Up Short

Sulphur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marlow Outlaws. The Bulldogs were probably out for revenge after losing 51-33 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sulphur's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Marlow, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Sulphur has already played their next contest (against Dickson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Marlow will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Marlow likes a good challenge.
