Softball Game Preview: Hunterdon Central Red Devils vs. Immaculata Spartans

The Hunterdon Central Red Devils will take on the Immaculata Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hunterdon Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Hunterdon Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Randolph.

Jess Yip spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits.

Meanwhile, Immaculata came up short against Johnson on Sunday and fell 5-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Immaculata saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Duffey, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Immaculata's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Hunterdon Central, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.
