With a playoff win on the line, Eldorado rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Rio Grande Ravens by a score of 8-4. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Cooper Burak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eldorado let Sullivan Wilson and Sebastian Mestas run wild. Wilson went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double, while Mestas went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Wilson has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of John Wofford, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Eldorado lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive contests.

Eldorado's win bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Rio Grande, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-9.

Eldorado will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Ravens: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
