Basketball Recap: Mendenhall Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Mendenhall faced off against Forest on Friday. The Mendenhall Tigers took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forest Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 45-25 defeat last Tuesday.

Mendenhall has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season. As for Forest, their win bumped their record up to 12-13.

When Mendenhall and Forest next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mendenhall will try to stop Moss Point's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Forest will face off against Greene County and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
