Soccer Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Buchanan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buchanan). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the El Diamante Miners on Saturday. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but Buchanan were the better team in the second half.

Brody Magnuson and Tyler Diaz scored all three of Buchanan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Buchanan pushed their record up to 4-0-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for El Diamante, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Buchanan will venture away from home to face off against Edison at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Diamante, they will welcome Clovis at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Clovis' defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so El Diamante's offense will have their work cut out for them.
