Recap: Intrinsic Mustangs vs. Farragut Admirals
The Intrinsic Mustangs lost against the Farragut Admirals back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Intrinsic received a tough blow as they fell 43-24 to Farragut.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was America Escalera, who scored 12 points. That was a full 50% of Intrinsic's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dezanique Riley, who scored six points.
Intrinsic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Farragut, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-3.
Intrinsic will square off against Foreman at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Foreman: 27.1, Intrinsic: 26.2) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Farragut, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Legal Prep at 5:00 p.m. Legal Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than zero points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
