Football Recap: Phoenixville Comes Up Short

If Phoenixville was riding high fresh off their 34-8 takedown of Pottstown last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Phantoms fell just short of the Upper Perkiomen Indians by a score of 22-19 on Friday. The Phantoms were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Although Phoenixville took the loss, they still got scores from Patrick Carey and Zakaa Cooper.

Upper Perkiomen's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Adam, who rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries, and also caught one score. Grayson Sabo was another key passer, throwing for 151 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Phoenixville's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Upper Perkiomen, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.
