Soccer Recap: Laurens Takes a Loss

Laurens lost against Wren back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Laurens Raiders came up short against the Wren Hurricanes, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Hurricanes are ranked 17th).

This is the second loss in a row for Laurens and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Wren, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurens will challenge Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wren, they will square off against Belton-Honea Path at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wren will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
