Softball Recap: Windham Comes Up Short

Windham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-4 to the Pymatuning Valley Lakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bombers of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Makenzi Blockinger made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Windham's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Pymatuning Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Windham is set to take on their familiar foe Bristol at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pymatuning Valley will challenge rival Harding at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
