Soccer Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos who were credited with the win. The Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to the Sterling Raiders' six. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Rhinos from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Carnegie Vanguard, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Sterling will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westbury at 7:45 p.m. on January 29th. Carnegie Vanguard has already played their next game (against Spring Woods), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
