Volleyball Recap: Mater Brighton Lakes Academy Takes a Loss

Mater Brighton Lakes Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the George Jenkins Eagles, falling 3-0. If the Broncos were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-8, 25-11.

William Snell was the offensive standout of the game as he had 15 digs. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last 14 games he's played.

Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for George Jenkins, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 18-0.

Mater Brighton Lakes Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Liberty on the 17th. As for George Jenkins, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Lakeland on the 21st.
