Baseball Recap: Lincoln Park Comes Up Short

Lincoln Park extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-14 in the process. They came up short against the Allen Park Jaguars, falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Railsplitters of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Allen Park, their record now sits at 8-5-1. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

For Allen Park's part, Joseph Ramey looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ramey has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brody Matelic, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Labiak, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
