With a playoff win on the line, Worth County rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the Pepperell Dragons as they made off with a 32-12 win. The Rams' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Kaden Chester was his usual excellent self, rushing for 155 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 155 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jaquaveon Nelson also helped out with an impressive 96 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Worth County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Worth County's defense stepped up as well, laying out Moss Tant 5.5 times. In that department, Joshua McGee was the leader with 2.5 sacks. Another thorn in Pepperell's side was Brady Weaver, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Worth County's record is now 14-0. As for Pepperell, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-5.

Worth County will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Toombs County at 2:00 p.m. on the 16th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 835 yards in their previous games. Pepperell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
