Baseball Recap: Woodsville Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Woodsville lost to Lin-Wood back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Engineers blew past the Lumberjacks 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Engineers, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Woodsville pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Lin-Wood, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Woodsville will take on rival Gorham at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lin-Wood is set to square off against their familiar foe Moultonborough Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
