Preview: Frost Polar Bears vs. Valley Mills Eagles
The Frost Polar Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Valley Mills Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Frost and 13 for Valley Mills.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Frost, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-49 loss to Hamilton.
Meanwhile, Valley Mills ended up a good deal behind Italy on Tuesday and lost 65-50. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Valley Mills in their matchups with Italy: they've now lost six in a row.
Frost's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-20. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Valley Mills, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 14 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season.
Frost strolled past Valley Mills in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 59-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Frost since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
