Basketball Recap: Beaver's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Beaver won the last time they faced Waterford and things went their way on Friday too. The Beaver Beavers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-59 victory over the Waterford Ravens.

Carter Nielson and Preston Jenkins certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Nielson shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine boards, while Jenkins almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Jenkins a new career-high in assists (three). Jonathan Huntsman was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

Beaver's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Waterford, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Beaver wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-56 victory against Bryce Valley on the 7th. As for Waterford, they will square off against North Sevier at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th.
