Basketball Game Preview: Brentsville District Tigers vs. Manassas Park Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Brentsville District Tigers challenge the Manassas Park Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 16 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Brentsville District and five for Manassas Park.

Last Friday, Brentsville District had to suffer through a 105-25 loss at the hands of Meridian. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Manassas Park was beaten by Jefferson Forest 63-28 back in December of 2024.

Brentsville District's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Manassas Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Things could have been worse for Brentsville District, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-35 loss to Manassas Park in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Brentsville District avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
