Recap: Fort Wayne North Side Legends vs. Carroll Chargers

While it was all tied up 30-30 at halftime, the Fort Wayne North Side Legends were not quite the Carroll Chargers's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (59), Fort Wayne North Side still had to take the loss.

Defeat or not, Fort Wayne North Side got some senior leadership from Jaxson Fugate and Eugene Young Jr. Fugate scored 26 points along with five assists and two steals, while Young Jr. scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Fugate has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Javius Davenport was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.

Fort Wayne North Side used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Carroll. Three players got more time on the court than they're used to: Jordan King (28), Jakahi Rich (four), and Davenport (27). The trio had averaged 12.42, 1.93, and 10.94 minutes respectively before Tuesday's game. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: King scored seven points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while he scored six points along with two steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Fort Wayne North Side and nudges their season record down to 12-7. As for Carroll, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Fort Wayne Northrop is coming into the game with seven straight defeats on the road, meaning Carroll will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
