Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vacaville). Everything went their way against the Pioneer Patriots on Friday as the Vacaville Bulldogs made off with a 71-50 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their 19-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Pioneer still got an impressive performance from Alex Macias, who went 8 for 11 en route to 18 points and seven boards. Those 18 points gave Macias a new career-high. Emiliano Romero was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.

Vacaville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Pioneer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vacaville will welcome River City at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pioneer, they will host Wood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.
