Kingsford had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Gladstone Braves. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Garrett Brown made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Brown wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Hendrickson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Hendrickson has become a key player for Kingsford: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Another was Jack Kriegl, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Kingsford now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Gladstone, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kingsford beat the Braves by a score of 8-3 later that day.
