Volleyball Game Preview: Charles J. Colgan Sharks vs. West Potomac Wolverines + Official Tickets

Charles J. Colgan is on a nine-game streak of home wins, while West Potomac is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Sharks will host the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Potomac took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Charles J. Colgan, who comes in off a win.

Charles J. Colgan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Patriot 3-0.

While Charles J. Colgan won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-12, 25-16.

Charles J. Colgan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasmine Belle Carrasco out in front who had five aces and three digs. That's the most aces Belle Carrasco has posted since back in September. Elizabeth Robinson was another key player, getting 20 assists.

They weren't the only good servers: Charles J. Colgan was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 32 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, West Potomac unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to West Springfield.

Charles J. Colgan's win bumped their record up to 26-4. As for West Potomac, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12-1.
