Volleyball Recap: Carver Takes a Loss

Carver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sumter County Panthers. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Carver sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-15, 18-25, 15-8.

Carver's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sumter County, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Carver will challenge Shaw on Tuesday. Sumter County has already played their next matchup (against Chattahoochee County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
