Soccer Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to the Akins Eagles. The contest was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for the Maroons it sure didn't stay that way.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Akins, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.

Coincidentally, Austin and Akins will both be playing Bowie the next time they take the pitch. Akins will head out to face Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Austin will host them at 7:45 p.m. on March 7th.
