North Brunswick came into Friday's contest looking for another win against West Carteret, but Joshua Bauman wouldn't allow it. The Patriots slipped by the Scorpions 36-35 on Friday for which the team can thank Bauman, who rushed for 179 yards and a pair of scores, and also caught one touchdown. Bauman is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 144 every time he's taken the field this season.

Another player making a difference was Jejuan Tripp, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one TD. His longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards.

When it comes to explaining why North Brunswick lost, don't look at Kane Jenrette. Despite the final result, he rushed for 255 yards and four scores while picking up 11.1 yards per carry.

The win made it two in a row for West Carteret and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for North Brunswick, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Carteret will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for North Brunswick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Pauls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
