While L'Anse Creuse North might've come up empty on Monday, Andrew Weinrauch wasn't going down without a fight. Weinrauch wasn't messing around, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was his sixth straight with two or fewer walks.

Even though Weinrauch couldn't lead L'Anse Creuse North over Grosse Pointe South, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Weinrauch's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Crusaders' four-game streak of wins on the road.
