Volleyball Recap: Oswego Falls Despite Big Games from Peter Barnes and Aidan Schmitt

Oswego was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Waubonsie Valley Warriors. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Oswego's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aidan Schmitt, who had 21 assists and three digs, and Peter Barnes, who had ten kills and five digs. Schmitt is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season.

Oswego's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Waubonsie Valley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coincidentally, Oswego and Waubonsie Valley will both be playing St. Charles North the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the North Stars at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
