While Jonathan Alder's victory against Benjamin Logan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pioneers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Raiders 7-5. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders on Friday, too.

Taryn Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Natalie Neumeier was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Owyn Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Jonathan Alder's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Benjamin Logan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Jonathan Alder and Benjamin Logan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Pioneers will square off against Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (186 vs. 634). Meanwhile, Benjamin Logan (ranked 116th) will meet Tecumseh (ranked 367th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
