Cactus waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Apollo Hawks 51-20. Given the Cobras' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Hawks are ranked 107th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cactus found their leader in sophomore Nathaniel Linares, who rushed for 200 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Luke Berlin helped out on the ground, rushing for 87 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Cactus proved: they limited Apollo to a paltry 2.5 yards per carry.
