Loudon is 9-1 against Sequoyah since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Redskins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chiefs at 4:15 p.m.

Loudon is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since April 20, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Sweetwater by a score of 4-2. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loudon saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Kelso, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Sequoyah got the win against Howard Tech on Saturday by a conclusive 16-6. The Chiefs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

Sequoyah let Logan Johnson and Eli Byrum run wild. Johnson went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Byrum went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave Byrum a new career-high. Dru Sasser was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Sequoyah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Sequoyah and bumps their season record up to 7-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Loudon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Everything went Loudon's way against Sequoyah in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Loudon made off with a 12-6 victory. Do the Redskins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chiefs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
