Baseball Game Preview: Haverling Rams vs. Campbell-Savona Panthers

The Haverling Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Campbell-Savona Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Campbell-Savona took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Haverling, who comes in off a win.

Haverling is headed out to face Campbell-Savona after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Haverling had just enough and edged out Perry 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since May 3, 2024.

Dylan Wenban made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wenban was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Wenban wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mason Davis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Those two hits gave Davis a new career-high.

Campbell-Savona kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 10-0 to Bolivar-Richburg. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Wolverines since April 1, 2016.

Haverling skirted past Campbell-Savona 6-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will Haverling repeat their success, or does Campbell-Savona has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
