Basketball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Seminary Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Michigan Lutheran Seminary unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They were dealt a 62-21 loss at the hands of the Fowler Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Eagles are ranked 46th).

Kerin Gardner was Michigan Lutheran Seminary's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Charli Alcorn held things down on the boards with nine rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Fowler, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 23-2.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fowler, they will head out to square off against Sacred Heart Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sacred Heart Academy will roll in looking for their 22nd straight win, something Fowler surely won't give up without a fight.
