Basketball Recap: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Eagle Mustangs

Ridgevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 63-55 to the Eagle Mustangs. The Warhawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in November of 2017.

Several Warhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaimana Nielson, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Javonte Boles, who earned 13 points.

Eagle found their leader in sophomore Bryant Bigelow, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 17 points and five assists. Bigelow also set a new season-high mark in field goal percentage with 67%. Andrew Palferman was another key player, putting up four points in addition to nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals.

Ridgevue's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Eagle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Coming up, Ridgevue will venture away from home to challenge Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Ridgevue likes a good challenge. Eagle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
