Volleyball Game Preview: New Canaan Rams vs. Norwalk Bears

New Canaan is a perfect 4-0 against Norwalk since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Bears at 4:30 p.m. New Canaan is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.

On Thursday, New Canaan made easy work of St. Joseph and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19, 25-21.

New Canaan can attribute much of their success to Dylan Rees, who had eight digs and one block, and Mason Park, who had eight digs. The dominant performance also gave Rees a new career-high in assists (30). Dylan Pabon also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Meanwhile, Norwalk hadn't done well against Ludlowe recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bears walked away with a 3-1 win over the Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

New Canaan pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Norwalk, their record is now 9-7.

New Canaan took their win against Norwalk in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
