Recap: Philip Barbour Colts vs. Robert C. Byrd Eagles
The Philip Barbour Colts put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Robert C. Byrd by a score of 63-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Philip Barbour also won the last time the pair played back in March.
Philip Barbour's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ladonna Herron, who scored 18 points. Arrington Sparks was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six steals and five assists.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Martina Howe, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Carleigh Curotz, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Philip Barbour's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Robert C. Byrd, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.
Philip Barbour will head out on the road to face off against Grafton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Robert C. Byrd, they will be playing at home against Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
