Saegertown won the last time they faced Mercer and William Shaffer did his part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 30-21 on Friday for which the team can thank Shaffer, who rushed for 105 yards and one TD on only 12 carries, and also threw for 162 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Saegertown's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Milan Harrison was another key player, picking up 96 receiving yards and one score. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 65 yards.

The win got Saegertown back to even at 3-3. As for Mercer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saegertown will challenge Maplewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mercer, they will square off against Sharpsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
