Basketball Game Preview: Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks vs. Platte/Geddes Black Panthers

Tripp-Delmont/Armour is 2-8 against Platte/Geddes since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks will head out on the road to face off against the Platte/Geddes Black Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Platte/Geddes took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Tripp-Delmont/Armour, who comes in off a win.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since January 29, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian.

Meanwhile, Platte/Geddes had to suffer through a 49-18 loss at the hands of Mt. Vernon/Plankinton. The match marked the Black Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Platte/Geddes, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour was able to grind out a solid victory over Platte/Geddes in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 57-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tripp-Delmont/Armour since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
