Soccer Game Preview: Westlake Christian Academy vs. First Baptist Christian

The Westlake Christian Academy Eagles will take on the First Baptist Christian Sabres in a tournament on Friday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Saturday. Westlake Christian Academy fell 2-0 to Quad Cities Christian. While losing is never fun, Westlake Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Quad Cities Christian is ranked 171st).

Meanwhile, First Baptist Christian waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Plants and Pillars HomeSchool.

Westlake Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for First Baptist Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-2.
